Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant

This position assists dentist at chair-side during examination and treatment of hospital patients. Understands and integrates into the delivery of patient care the needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and adult patients in regards to their growth and development process


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide a refreshing and friendly atmosphere to patients of all ages
  • Provide chair-side assistance to dentist for a variety of treatment procedures
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
  • Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
  • Record treatment information in patient records
  • Take impressions of patients’ teeth
  • Communicate with patients and suppliers
  • Communicate with patients and suppliers
  • Document patient dental treatments and prepare treatment plans
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
  • Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
  • Perform office management tasks including utilization of various computer software programs
  • May also be called on to provide administrative and/or marketing support as needed (e.g., scheduling, answering phones, billing, attending various community events, etc.)

Additional Requirements:

  • Registered Dental Assistant preferred
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Positive attitude and ability to patiently communicate well with children and adults
  • Strong working knowledge of dentistry and dental procedures
  • Hard-working and fun-loving a must
  • Willing to be cross-trained in all areas of the office!
  • CPR Certification
  • Knowledge of Dentrix software preferred

Hours: 25-40 hours per week


Dental Hygienist

As a dental hygienist, you will clean teeth and examine the patient's oral areas, head and neck for signs of oral disease. You will also record and review patients medical histories.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and sterilizing dental equipment
  • Applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents to prevent dental decay
  • Charting conditions of dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist
  • Cleaning calcareous deposits, accretions and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins with dental instruments.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Dental Hygienist license (State RDH license)
  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Dental hygiene and a bachelor's degree are a plus
  • CPR Certification
  • Ability to prepare dental equipment and instruments
  • Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • Dentrix computer experience preferred
  • Experience using Vizilite, Velscope, and/or Diagnodent is a plus
  • Experience using electronic medical records is a plus
  • Leadership skills

Hours: 25–40 hours per week

Front Desk – Patient Coordinator

The front desk patient coordinator is an essential link between the patient and the office staff.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls with a smile
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Confirm all patient appointments one or two days prior to appointment
  • Greet all patients with a smile
  • Check patients in and out
  • Verify patient’s insurance coverage and provider
  • Present treatment plans to patients
  • Assists front office and RDA teams when necessary
  • Follow up with patients who have pending treatment
  • Complete follow-up calls to patients

Additional Requirements:

  • 1 year of Dental front office experience preferred
  • Customer Service experience is a plus
  • Multilingual preferred
